Payments

Subscriptions and refunds.

Curio is free to start. Paid subscriptions are optional. Here is how they renew, how to cancel and how to ask for a refund.

How subscriptions work

Curio’s paid subscriptions are monthly or yearly. They renew automatically until you cancel, and are charged to your Apple Account or your Google Play account. We never see your card or payment details.

The price shown in the app and in your store before you buy is the price you pay, in your local currency.

How to cancel

You cancel in your store account, because the store takes the payment. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your Curio account.

  • iPhone and iPad: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Curio.
  • Android: Google Play, your profile picture, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Curio.

After you cancel, your plan ends when the period you paid for ends.

Refunds

Refunds follow the store’s own policy. Because Apple or Google took the payment, the request goes to them. For an App Store purchase, use Apple’s Report a Problem page. For a Google Play purchase, use the help pages in Google Play. If you are not sure where to start, email us and we will point you the right way.

Extra minutes

Extra minutes do not expire. They are used after your monthly allowance, belong to the account that bought them, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money. If the store refunds a purchase, those minutes are taken back, and a balance can go below zero until it is paid back by your next purchase.

I bought a plan but it does not show

Open Settings, tap See plans, then Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account or Google Play account you bought with. If it still does not show, email us.
