What Curio is

Curio writes and narrates podcasts on topics you choose. The podcasts are made with AI. We take care over facts and quality, but a podcast can still contain mistakes. Do not rely on a podcast for medical, legal or financial decisions.

Free, Plus and Pro

Curio has a free shelf, a fresh free podcast each day, and a few podcasts of your own to try. Plus opens the whole library. Pro opens the whole library and adds a monthly allowance of minutes to make your own podcasts. You can add more minutes at any time.

The price shown in the app and in your store before you buy is the price you pay, in your local currency. Plus and Pro are monthly or yearly subscriptions. They renew automatically until you cancel, and are charged to your Apple Account or your Google Play account. You can cancel at any time in your store account settings, and the plan then ends when the period you paid for ends. Refunds follow the store's own policy.

Extra minutes

Extra minutes do not expire. They are used after your monthly allowance, belong to the account that bought them, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money. If the store refunds a purchase, those minutes are taken back, and a balance can go below zero until it is paid back by your next purchase.

Using Curio fairly

Do not ask Curio for sexual content, instructions to cause harm, hate, or false claims about private people. We may refuse or remove a request, and may suspend an account that abuses the service or its limits. Podcasts are for your own listening: do not resell them or present them as made by a person.

Your own voice

Where the feature is offered, you may create a voice model only from an adult's own voice: your own, never anyone else's and never a child's. You must record it yourself, live, and read the consent sentence yourself. Do not use a recording of another person, a public figure or an AI-generated voice, and do not use the voice to pretend to be someone else or to mislead anyone. We may delete a voice and turn the feature off for an account that breaks these rules.

Accounts

You can use Curio as a guest. A guest account lives on your device and its podcasts are lost if you delete the app, so sign in to keep them. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and a grown-up is responsible for the profiles they make.

Our responsibility

Curio is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
